Akkodis is seeking a Application Data Developer Expert with a Nebraska (Remote)-based client to join their team

Pay Range - $60-$65/hr. ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Job Description
• We are seeking an experienced Application Data Developer Expert (Senior Data Engineer). This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting a mission-critical enterprise data processing framework built on modern big data technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed data processing applications while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of enterprise data pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise Distributed Data Processing environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Scala development.
• Expertise in Apache Spark and Apache ecosystem technologies.
• Experience working with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or enterprise Hadoop environments.
• Strong knowledge of Drools Rules Engine for business rule implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL development, query optimization, and Linux environments.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues, optimizing Spark jobs, and supporting large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Cloudera administration tools (Cloudera Manager, HDFS, YARN).
• Medicaid or Healthcare domain experience.
• Experience with IBM DataStage, AWS, Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
