About The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support the accounting and finance data needs across all Wonder brands, including Wonder, Grubhub, Blue Apron, Tastemade, Spyce, and others. This position sits at the intersection of finance, accounting operations, and data management. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance Data & Systems, the Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role in elevating management financial reporting, streamlining the month-end close process, and supporting audit deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the accounting team to support recurring close deliverables, ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation, and timely delivery aligned with firm month-end deadlines.
  • Connect and analyze data across multiple source systems to explain financial results, support reconciliations, and prepare workpapers that withstand audit scrutiny.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytical tools to enhance the efficiency, automation, and timeliness of recurring reports and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Collaborate with central data and data engineering teams to ensure the accuracy and availability of financial data necessary for daily decision-making and quarterly closing processes.
  • Assist with external audit data requests by documenting data sources and lineage to strengthen audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and process improvements to increase the rigor and repeatability of the financial close process.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of management financial reporting tools and data models in partnership with business functions, data engineers, and software developers.

Qualifications

  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and capable of executing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large datasets and building complex reporting tools.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to connect and interpret data across disparate source systems.
  • At least 4+ years of experience analyzing and engineering large data sets, preferably within finance, accounting, or operations contexts.
  • Familiarity with accounting operations and the month-end close cycle is highly desirable; experience supporting external audits is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with a strategic, big-picture perspective.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, a bias for action, and enthusiasm for process innovation.
  • Strong collaboration skills, capable of partnering effectively with internal teams (accounting, finance, operations, data, engineering) and external stakeholders such as auditors.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, skills, and knowledge rapidly to meet evolving goals.

Salary ranges vary based on location: for New Jersey & New York, the base salary is $149,000 - $157,000; for Illinois, it is $134,000 - $141,500. Final offers will consider the candidate’s skills, experience, and location, along with other relevant factors.
