• ElevationHR is seeking a Senior Data & AI Solutions Architect for a consulting engagement supporting one of our data and AI services partner's Houston-based Oil & Gas clients. You'll work in a high-impact environment focused on turning complex enterprise data into scalable, production-ready solutions across cloud, analytics, and artificial intelligence.

This isn't an architecture-from-the-sidelines role.

We're looking for a highly technical architect who came up through software development and data engineering and can still get hands-on with the technology. You'll help shape and deliver scalable enterprise solutions across Python, Databricks, Microsoft Azure, data engineering, AI/ML, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent automation.

• What You'll Do
• ✅ Architect end-to-end enterprise Data & AI solutions from design through implementation.
• ✅ Design scalable Databricks Lakehouse environments using Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Workflows.
• ✅ Architect Azure data solutions leveraging technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.
• ✅ Develop and review production-grade Python and remain technically engaged with engineering teams.
• ✅ Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, distributed data-processing solutions, and enterprise data platforms.
• ✅ Architect and integrate AI/ML and LLM capabilities, including MLOps and production deployment considerations.
• ✅ Help enable modern AI use cases such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and intelligent automation where appropriate.
• ✅ Establish architecture standards for security, data governance, lineage, quality, reliability, and performance.
• ✅Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, and technical leaders to turn complex requirements into scalable solutions.

• What We're Looking For
• ✅ 8+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or closely related experience.
• ✅ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
• ✅ Strong production-level Python development experience.
• ✅ Deep expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT, distributed processing, and modern data architecture.
• ✅ Hands-on Databricks experience and strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture.
• ✅ Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
• ✅ Experience architecting AI/ML solutions and LLM integrations.
• ✅ Understanding of MLOps, security, data governance, data quality, and lineage.
• ✅ Proven ability to own architecture while remaining technically hands-on.
