About the Role:

American Honda Finance Corp. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Torrance, CA. You will execute credit loss forecasting models, determine allowance reserves under CECL/USGAAP and IFRS, and prepare SEC public debt disclosures across U.S. and Canadian consumer finance portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Administer and validate econometric credit loss forecast models under strict internal SOX controls.
• • Perform deep-dive analytics on loan originations, delinquency roll-rates, net charge-offs, and probability of default.
• • Prepare monthly and quarterly credit loss reserve journal entries and executive reporting packages.
• • Draft footnote disclosures and fair value assessments for SEC 10-K and public debt financial reporting.
• • Support data analytics and audit explanations for internal SOX audits and external Big 4 reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Data Science (CFA/CPA/MBA preferred).
• • 5+ years of progressive professional experience in credit loss forecasting, CECL, or consumer portfolio risk.
• • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and programming languages (Python, R, SAS).
• • Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau) and ERPs (SAP).
• • Outstanding analytical reasoning, technical accounting acumen, and executive presentation skills.
