Role Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our credit team!

This a full-time, on-site role based in Burnaby, BC

This role is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, analyzing financial statements, and determining appropriate credit limits and terms. Day-to-day activities include monitoring portfolios for risk, preparing credit reports and recommendations, provide monthly receivable updates to Credit Manager and supporting credit approvals in alignment with company policies. The Senior Credit Analyst collaborates with our Regional Branch Managers and operations teams to resolve credit issues, manage overdue accounts, and support cash flow objectives. The role also involves refining credit processes, contributing to risk mitigation strategies, and mentoring junior team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong credit management and credit analysis skills, including experience setting limits, terms, and policies.
  • Mininum 5 years experience in a similar role dealing with B2B collections.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and evaluate risk by analyzing data from Equifax/Credifax and Dun and Bradstreet credit reports.
  • Solid finance knowledge, including understanding of financial statements, ratios, and cash flow dynamics.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and collaborate across departments.
  • Experience in corporate or commercial credit environments; familiarity with international trade or manufacturing is an asset.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software and ERP or credit management systems.
  • Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional designations (e.g., CFA, CPA, CCP) are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make well-reasoned decisions within established guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Credit Manager
