As a Senior Business Systems Analyst โ Distribution Center Automation, you will collaborate with business, operations, engineering, and technology teams to deliver innovative automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, system performance, and end-to-end fulfillment processes.
- Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations and Technology Teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and technology functions to understand business processes, workflow challenges, and automation opportunities.
- Analyze current operational models and identify areas for process improvement and optimization.
- Define and Manage Business Requirements
- Gather, document, and manage business, functional, technical, and integration requirements.
- Translate business objectives into detailed system specifications that support technology and operational goals.
- Ensure requirements are clearly communicated to development, engineering, and implementation teams.
- Analyze and Improve Process Flows
- Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
- Evaluate process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, reliability, and user experience.
- Support business process transformation through automation and technology enablement.
- Support Solution Design and Integration
- Work closely with architects, engineers, security teams, and product stakeholders to develop solutions aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
- Participate in system design discussions involving automation platforms, enterprise applications, warehouse technologies, and system integrations.
- Assist in defining data flows, integration points, and connectivity requirements across platforms.
- Lead Testing and Validation Activities
- Coordinate end-to-end testing efforts, including test planning, test case development, execution, defect management, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate that solutions meet business requirements and operational expectations before deployment.
- Track issues through resolution and ensure successful implementation outcomes.
- Manage Deployment Readiness and Risk
- Assess implementation impacts and identify potential operational, technical, and business risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans and support smooth deployments.
- Ensure minimal disruption during system enhancements and technology rollouts.
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, technology capabilities, operational efficiency, and user adoption.
- Recommend enhancements that increase system performance, scalability, and long-term business value.
- Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting technology solutions within warehouse, distribution, logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, or operational environments.
- Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Solid understanding of system integrations, process flows, data flows, and end-to-end solution lifecycle management.
- Experience developing test plans, test scenarios, UAT documentation, and defect tracking processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse automation, distribution center technologies, robotics, conveyor systems, sortation systems, warehouse management platforms, or related operational technologies.
- Strong understanding of integration architectures, APIs, middleware solutions, and enterprise connectivity frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile, product-focused, or large-scale enterprise technology delivery environments.
- Familiarity with regulated, highly secure, or complex enterprise technology ecosystems.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, gather consensus, resolve ambiguity, and align stakeholders around desired outcomes.
- Experience using project delivery and documentation tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
