A growing, multi-division building solutions company is building a modern, unified data platform on Microsoft Fabric — and we're looking for a Senior BI Analyst to help lead the way. Sitting within the Analytics & BI Development team and reporting to the Head of Analytics, this role owns semantic models, Power BI reporting, and self-service enablement across the organization, delivering trusted, governed analytics to the business.

This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role for someone who wants real ownership. You'll design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI semantic models and reports on Microsoft Fabric, working across Lakehouse, OneLake, and medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture in close partnership with data engineering. You'll design and validate relational data models, from normalized transactional schemas to dimensional star schemas, optimize DAX and Power Query for performance at scale, and apply Fabric ALM best practices including Dev/Test/Prod promotion and Git-based deployment. You'll also establish governance and documentation standards, troubleshoot data discrepancies back to the source of truth, and mentor junior analysts as you help set the standard for the broader BI practice. Working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud and exposure to SAP Business Data Cloud or Datasphere is a real plus, since SAP data increasingly flows into our Fabric platform, and there's room to build out SAC stories and models as a complementary reporting layer.

We're looking for someone with five or more years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting development, and expert-level Power BI skills spanning data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report design. You should be comfortable with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines), have a strong grasp of relational database concepts and SQL, and understand cloud data architecture patterns well enough to make sound tradeoffs between lakehouse, warehouse, and virtualization approaches. Just as important is how you work: you should be able to take ambiguous requirements from non-technical stakeholders, translate them into scalable data models, and drive the work through to deployment without needing routine oversight. Comfort with VSCode-based workflows, including editing Power BI Projects in PBIP/TMDL format under Git, and experience with agentic or AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, will help you move fast in this environment.

If you're the kind of analyst who wants to own the roadmap for enterprise reporting rather than just execute tickets, and you're excited about building a best-in-class BI practice on Fabric from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you. This position starts as contract-to-hire, with the intent to convert to full-time based on performance.

This is a fully remote role, but you must live in the United States.

They'll need someone who's fully authorized to work in the US without any sponsorship / visa (cannot support H-1B visa).
