🚨 SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST – DIGITAL BI & ANALYTICS

  • Location: Vienna, VA | Winchester, VA | Pensacola, FL — Hybrid
  • Contract: 4+ months, with potential for extension
  • Level: Senior / Level 3 | 10+ years of experience required

Turn Data Into Decisions. Measure What Matters. Drive Digital Impact.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join a high-visibility Digital organization responsible for measuring and optimizing the performance of mobile, online, and employee-facing digital experiences.

This is a business intelligence and digital analytics leadership role—not a traditional data transformation or data movement position.

The ideal professional combines strong SQL and Power BI/Tableau expertise with exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate complex analysis into executive-ready insights, compelling data stories, and actionable recommendations.

You will help business and product leaders understand what changed, why it changed, how much impact it created, and what should happen next.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Analyze complex business problems using data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Develop and manage sophisticated Power BI/Tableau dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, visualizations, funnels, and performance analytics.
  • Identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and root causes across digital journeys and product experiences.
  • Transform analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Performance & Impact Measurement
  • Define the right KPIs and success measures for digital enhancements, product releases, adoption, self-service, containment, and experience initiatives.
  • Establish appropriate baseline, event, and post-event measurement frameworks to quantify business impact.
  • Measure lift, change, adoption, and performance while accounting for unrelated factors that may influence results.
  • Evaluate digital enhancements before and after implementation and communicate their measurable business impact.
  • Executive Data Storytelling
  • Go beyond building dashboards—interpret the information and tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Develop executive presentations that clearly communicate findings, business implications, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Translate complex quantitative analysis into concise insights that senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders can readily understand.
  • Strategic Stakeholder Partnership
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, IT, Contact Center Operations, Member Service Operations, Risk, and other business functions.
  • Serve as a trusted analytics partner to product owners, journey owners, subject matter experts, and leadership.
  • Independently manage priorities, communicate progress and obstacles, and influence decisions through data.
  • Lead small-to-medium analytics initiatives and contribute to larger Digital BI programs.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Digital Analytics, Reporting, or a related field.
  • Advanced SQL skills with demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex datasets.
  • Advanced Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI platform expertise.
  • Proven ability to create executive-level presentations and data stories from analytical findings.
  • Demonstrated experience defining business-impact KPIs and measurement frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with pre/post analysis, baseline measurement, lift/change analysis, and trend normalization.
  • Strong understanding of root-cause analysis, data visualization, statistical/analytical methods, and business performance measurement.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, exercising sound analytical and business judgment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
  • Databricks
  • Agile methodologies
  • LLM / AI analytics
  • Adobe Analytics
  • Digital product or product analytics
  • Mobile and online banking analytics
  • Customer/member journey analytics
  • Employee experience analytics
  • Funnel and feature-adoption analysis
  • Digital interaction, telemetry, survey, or voice-of-customer data

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

The successful candidate will be able to move seamlessly between data, business strategy, and executive communication.

You should be comfortable answering:

  • What happened?
  • Why did it happen?
  • What changed compared with the baseline?
  • What was the measurable business impact?
  • What factors influenced the result?
  • What should the business do next?

If your experience is primarily focused on ETL, data pipelines, data migration, data transformation, or data movement, this role may not be the right fit.

If you are a seasoned Business Intelligence / Digital Analytics professional who turns data into business insight and executive-level decisions, we would like to hear from you.
