  • Business Analyst – Intraday Liquidity & Regulatory Documentation
  • Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
  • Contract Duration: 3 Months (Immediate start, urgent mandate)
  • Hourly Rate: $60.00 – $80.00/hr (Dependent on experience)
  • About the Role
  • We are urgently seeking a Process Documentation Analyst / Business Analyst to support a high-profile, time-sensitive regulatory initiative for a major Canadian bank (BMO). Phase 1 of our Intraday Liquidity data platform is going live, shifting end-of-day liquidity reporting to a real-time, intraday data model via a third-party vendor platform.

In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our internal business owners in Corporate Treasury and Market Risk, internal risk teams, and external PwC consultants to document the transition.

Note: The 1st and 2nd Line of Defense (LOD) processes and controls are already defined. Your core mission is to execute clean, audit-ready procedural documentation (~29 SOPs) mapping the current state to the new intraday future state by the end of October.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Corporate Treasury, Market Risk, and PwC consultants to gather process details.
  • Document operational procedures and controls for both the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) and 2nd Line of Defense (2LOD).
  • Translate complex, real-time intraday liquidity workflows into standardized, clear, and audit-ready Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all documentation is completed under a strict timeline leading up to the end-of-October delivery window.
  • Requirements & Qualifications
  • Strong professional background in business process documentation, technical/procedural writing, and creating SOPs.
  • Prior experience working within Banking, Capital Markets, Corporate Treasury, or Market Risk.
  • Familiarity with risk governance frameworks (1st and 2nd Line of Defense).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and verbal/written communication skills—comfortable collaborating with senior business owners and Big 4 consultants.
  • Ability to commit fully to an urgent, high-intensity 3-month contract assignment.
