Overview

  • We are supporting several clients in the East Coast with Orchestrade implementations and upgrades and are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong front-to-back office functional expertise. The ideal candidate has deep product knowledge in Fixed Income and/or Equity, strong exposure to the full trade lifecycle, and the ability to work closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure successful delivery through go-live and post-go-live support.
  • This is a hands-on role requiring both delivery ownership and production support mindset, in a fast-paced environment (buy-side and/or investment banking).
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Support Orchestrade implementation projects from requirements gathering through testing, UAT, cutover, and go-live
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications / user stories for IT and delivery teams
  • Drive workshops with stakeholders to define workflows across Front, Middle, Back Office
  • Contribute to setup and configuration discussions (workflows, booking models, static data, etc.)
  • Own and document end-to-end processes: trade capture → validations → confirmations → settlements → accounting → reporting
  • Partner with Operations teams to ensure correct handling of events such as lifecycle changes, amendments, and reconciliations
  • Provide strong functional support during business-critical periods (including go-live and hypercare)
  • Define and execute test strategy (SIT/UAT), including test cases, test data, and defect triage
  • Validate data quality and ensure upstream/downstream integrity (reference data, market data, static data)
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT teams, vendors, and end users
  • Work face-to-face with stakeholders when required and ensure clear communication across teams
  • Act as the bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and delivery timelines
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Product Manager in Capital Markets environments
  • Strong front-to-back functional knowledge in either:
  • Fixed Income (Repo, Bonds, Rates, Credit, MBS)
  • Equity (Cash, Derivatives, Swaps, Options)
  • Multi-asset experience is a plus
  • Proven experience working on trading/booking platforms (one or more of the following):
  • Orchestrade (strong plus)
  • Murex / Calypso / Summit (excellent substitutes)
  • Strong understanding of key concepts:
  • Trade workflows, lifecycle events, P&L / risk reporting, reconciliations, controls
  • Hands-on experience with UAT/SIT, production support, incident triage, and root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (Front Office exposure required)
  • Nice-to-Have
  • Exposure to hedge fund environments or fast-paced buy-side delivery models
  • Understanding of platform architecture and data flows (static data, reference data, integrations)
  • SQL knowledge for validation and data analysis (nice-to-have)
