- Our client is seeking experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to support the planning, coordination, requirements analysis, and implementation activities associated with the replacement of a large-scale enterprise technology system.
- The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager, business leaders, technology teams, departmental stakeholders, and end users to ensure that business and system requirements are accurately identified, analyzed, documented, validated, and successfully translated into technology and process solutions.
- The ideal candidate will be an engaging and highly effective communicator who is comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This individual must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of business operations and enterprise technology systems, and the ability to lead requirements-gathering and process-discovery activities.
- The successful candidate will be collaborative, organized, adaptable, customer-focused, and willing to contribute wherever needed to support the successful implementation and transition to the new enterprise system.
** Note: Per client requirement, this is hybrid role and candidates must be local to Indianapolis.
- Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, executives, departmental leaders, end users, project managers, and technology teams to understand business objectives and identify detailed business and system requirements.
- Plan, facilitate, and lead requirements-gathering, requirements-elicitation, discovery, and stakeholder working sessions.
- Analyze current business operations, workflows, technology systems, and operational needs.
- Document and maintain functional requirements, business requirements, system requirements, business rules, use cases, acceptance criteria, and supporting project documentation.
- Develop business process models, workflow diagrams, process maps, and other visual documentation illustrating current-state and future-state processes.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for business-process improvement.
- Define project scope and objectives and recommend technology and process solutions that align with organizational strategies and business goals.
- Translate product roadmaps, business objectives, and high-level features into detailed epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Communicate, review, validate, and obtain stakeholder agreement on documented requirements.
- Evaluate system capabilities and collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet functional and operational requirements.
- Serve as a liaison among business departments, project leadership, technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholder groups.
- Communicate analysis findings, project impacts, risks, issues, and recommendations to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Participate in system implementation, testing, validation, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, and business-readiness activities.
- Support organizational transition activities associated with replacing the existing enterprise technology system.
- Assist the Project Manager with project planning, coordination, status tracking, risk and issue management, and other project activities as needed.
- Manage multiple priorities and assignments while maintaining quality and meeting project deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and ongoing operational optimization.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a closely related role.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using project-management methodologies, practices, and tools.
- Demonstrated experience supporting medium- to large-scale IT projects, enterprise system implementations, technology modernization initiatives, or system-replacement projects.
- At least 5 years of experience working with business stakeholders to identify needs, define goals, and develop business and technology requirements.
- Strong experience planning, facilitating, and leading requirements-gathering, requirements-elicitation, discovery, and stakeholder working sessions.
- Demonstrated experience developing epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, functional requirements, and supporting documentation.
- Strong understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably within a Hybrid Agile environment.
- Experience developing current-state and future-state process models, workflow diagrams, business-process documentation, and gap analyses.
- Experience analyzing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, including system configuration and troubleshooting functional and basic technical issues.
- Experience participating in system testing, requirements validation, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities.
- Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and executive-level communication skills.
- Advanced analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative, and manage projects or assignments through successful completion.
- Ability to remain composed, flexible, and solution-oriented when project activities do not proceed as planned.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across business units, technology teams, leadership groups, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous business-analysis experience within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare business operations, healthcare enterprise applications, or healthcare technology ecosystems.
- Experience supporting the replacement or modernization of a large enterprise technology platform.
- Experience working with SaaS product implementations or enterprise software vendors.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Hybrid Agile, or similar delivery methodologies.
- Experience using requirements-management, project-management, workflow, or collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, PMP, CSM, or CSPO.
