Senior Applied AI Engineer - Scientific Data

This is a highly visible opportunity for an experienced AI engineer who wants to move beyond experimentation and own the delivery of production-grade AI solutions from concept through deployment and adoption.

• The Opportunity
• You'll work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases, architect solutions, build and validate models, and ensure they can be deployed responsibly and effectively in real-world environments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging applied AI problems and has experience taking projects from initial idea through to production, including defining how success is measured and governed.

• What You'll Be Doing
• Designing, building, deploying, and maintaining AI and machine learning solutions
• Leading projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering through production rollout
• Developing evaluation methodologies, validation processes, and performance measurement frameworks
• Building governance mechanisms, guardrails, and controls for AI-driven applications
• Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business challenges into AI solutions
• Advising leadership teams on technical feasibility, risks, and implementation strategies
• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering, product, and customer teams

• What We're Looking For
• Significant experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
• Demonstrated ownership of complex projects from concept through delivery
• Strong experience developing evaluation, testing, validation, and governance frameworks for AI systems
• Track record of solving real-world business or scientific problems using machine learning, LLMs, agentic systems, reinforcement learning, or related technologies
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience working within larger product development teams
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with customers and colleagues
