- Role Description The Senior Analyst – SCADA role is a remote, contract position responsible for supporting and enhancing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for clients. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring SCADA system performance, analyzing data trends, and identifying issues that may impact operations or security. The role involves configuring and maintaining SCADA applications, creating and updating documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and resolve incidents. The Senior Analyst – SCADA may also assist with system integrations, testing new features, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This position requires clear communication with stakeholders to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, industrial control systems, and real-time monitoring environments.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring tools relevant to SCADA operations.
- Understanding of network fundamentals, cybersecurity concepts, and secure configuration practices for control systems.
- Ability to document system configurations, workflows, and standard operating procedures clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing sustainable fixes.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, IT, and operations teams in a remote, distributed work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in utilities, energy, industrial automation, or similar sectors is beneficial.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for SCADA and industrial control systems is an advantage.
