- JOB DESCRIPTION: $40-$52/hour - Hybrid 3 days - 9 month contract w/ extensions
- Insight Global is seeking a Senior Analyst to join a leading Canadian financial institution supporting a large-scale Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) replacement initiative. This multi-year transformation program is focused on modernizing the bank's CCR framework and technology ecosystem.
The successful candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to help drive delivery of a key workstream within the program. Responsibilities will include gathering and documenting business requirements, translating requirements for development teams, supporting solution design discussions, analyzing CCR-related data and metrics, and helping advance project deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups. This individual will be expected to work independently while collaborating with peers, technology partners, and senior project stakeholders.
A mentor will be provided to support onboarding and knowledge transfer, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop expertise in Counterparty Credit Risk within a major financial institution.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- • 1-5+ years of experience within Capital Markets, Risk Management, Financial Analytics, or a related area
- • Strong understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) concepts and metrics
- • Knowledge of financial products such as FX products, Derivatives, Settlement risk, and Potential Future Exposure (PFE)
- • Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret financial/risk data
- • Experience using Python or another programming language for scripting, data analysis, or automation
- • Comfortable reading, understanding, and writing basic-to-intermediate code
- • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams
- • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- • Master's degree in Financial Risk Management, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Finance, or a related field
- • FRM, CFA (completed or in progress), or other relevant financial designations
- • Exposure to Value at Risk (VaR), market risk, or CCR analytics
- • Personal or academic projects utilizing Python, GitHub, dashboards, risk analytics, or financial modeling
- • Experience developing financial reporting dashboards or analytical tools
- • Previous experience supporting regulatory, risk, or capital markets transformation initiatives
- • Demonstrated examples of initiative, leadership, or ownership beyond core responsibilities
