Role Description The Senior Analyst – Customer Research is a full-time hybrid role based in Melville, NY. This role is responsible for designing and executing customer research studies, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups, to understand customer needs, satisfaction, and perceptions of PSEG Long Island’s services. The Senior Analyst will analyze quantitative and qualitative data, develop insights, and prepare clear reports and presentations to inform customer experience strategies, program design, and communications The role also supports continuous improvement by recommending actionable initiatives, tracking outcomes over time, and ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into business decisions.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in customer or market research, including survey design, data collection, and analysis.
Expertise in data transformation & visualization platforms (Tableau Developer, Power BI, Alteryx) and proficiency in tools such as Excel, statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar), and I
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audience teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity and confidentiality.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or specialized training in research methods is a plus.
Experience in the utility, energy, or related regulated industry is beneficial, as is familiarity with customer satisfaction and customer experience frameworks.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to be on-site
