Senior Analyst, Business Unit Finance

We are recruiting on behalf of a large Canadian company headquartered in Toronto, known for consistent growth through acquisitions and a strong market presence their sector, the company is seeking a progressive Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to join as a Senior Financial Analyst. This role supports business operations for a dynamic business unit, with plans for continued expansion.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Supporting the financial close process with accuracy and timeliness
• Management reporting for the business unit and corporate head office
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis
• Reviewing work completed by offshore resources to ensure quality and compliance
• Supporting revenue recognition and IFRS compliance initiatives
• Participating in finance projects to improve operational efficiencies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial process improvements

The Company is offering a strong compensation package including an attractive base salary, and an annual performance bonus. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• CPA designation with public accounting experience preferred
• Technical proficiency in IFRS and revenue recognition
• Strong communication skills, technical-minded
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic
• Interest in operational finance and process improvement
