Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst

- $75,000 - $85,000 + Bonus
Our client, a well-established and growing organization within the retail and consumer products sector, is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical AR professional who enjoys investigating complex deductions, resolving short pays, improving collections performance, and leveraging data to drive better business decisions. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to improve cash flow, reduce aging balances, and enhance overall AR processes.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including collections, deduction management, short pay resolution, and account reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain AR aging reports, DSO reporting, cash flow forecasts, and KPI dashboards.
- Investigate and resolve customer deductions, chargebacks, pricing disputes, freight claims, returns, and compliance-related deductions.
- Analyze aging balances and identify root causes while recommending corrective actions and process improvements.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to resolve customer disputes and improve collections performance.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations and support accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor customer accounts, prioritize collection efforts, and proactively reduce overdue balances.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve AR processes, reduce deductions, and enhance cash flow.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience, including deductions management, short pays, and B2B collections.
- Experience working in retail, consumer products, distribution, healthcare, or other high-volume transactional environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments and with external customers.
