- Role Description The Senior Accounting Analyst is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Charlotte Metro area, with flexibility for part-time work from home. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include recording and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing variances to support month-end and quarter-end close processes. The Senior Accounting Analyst will collaborate with finance and operations teams to provide analytical insights, support audits, and assist with process improvements. The role also involves contributing to forecasting and budgeting activities, documenting procedures, and supporting system enhancements to improve reporting efficiency.
- Qualifications
- Strong accounting foundation with skills in Financial Statements and Accounting, including knowledge of GAAP or relevant accounting standards.
- Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
- Robust Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide clear, data-driven insights.
- Background in Finance, including familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
- Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or related industries is a plus.
