Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Analyst in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, donors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including preparing clear and timely reports and communicating with site contacts and/or local emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces to help to control access, verify authorized entry, and support a professional environment for daily operations.
• Assist with de-escalation, policy enforcement, and other security-related duties connected to a healthcare setting where the protection of people, property, and/or sensitive areas is important.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
