Security Analyst

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Junior/Entry-Level SOC / Cybersecurity Analyst with a stronger focus on security monitoring, incident investigation, threat intelligence, and forensic support..

Rate Range: $35/hour -$40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Location: Akron OH 44320 (Hybrid)
• Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and investigate security events and incidents using SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, forensic, and security monitoring tools.
• Perform incident triage, investigation, threat analysis, and forensic support, including documenting findings and preparing reports.
• Analyze security data and adversarial behaviors and assist with improving detection, analytics, and SOC processes.
• Collaborate with security teams and support SOC projects, reporting, threat intelligence, and continuous process improvements.
• Required Skills:
• 0–2 years of experience in SOC, Cybersecurity, or IT Security.
• Knowledge of SIEM, incident response, networking, Windows/Linux, and security monitoring.
• Basic understanding of Python, PowerShell, or Bash and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Work Schedule & Location:
• Hybrid/Remote with significant flexible work-location opportunities.
• Candidates must be located within 1 hour of Wadsworth Township, Ohio.
• Initial training: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM or 9 AM–5 PM for approximately 2–3 months.
• After training: 3 × 12-hour shifts followed by 6 days off; candidates must be comfortable working day/night shifts.
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field preferred.
