  • About the Role
  • A major research university's digital learning division is hiring a Search and Content Analyst to join its Strategic Communications and Content Operations team. The division focuses on designing and scaling digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education.
  • This role supports the search strategy team in optimizing digital content across the university's online programs and other products. Day to day, the analyst conducts keyword research, audits pages, shapes SEO-informed content briefs, and tracks optimization performance. The position is ideal for a strong critical thinker ready to apply proven skills in search engine optimization and digital content performance. This is a hybrid position requiring reliable commuting to Scottsdale, AZ.
  • What the Role Covers
  • Interpreting search data using search tools and large language models, delivering clear, actionable recommendations that improve page visibility and user relevance
  • Conducting keyword research to support academic programs, priority pages, and marketing campaigns
  • Auditing webpages for on-page SEO improvements including metadata, headings, internal linking, and content alignment; conducting periodic sitewide and section-level SEO audits and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Preparing SEO-informed content briefs that guide content strategy
  • Monitoring rankings, query trends, and performance patterns to identify opportunities and issues; diagnosing notable changes in impressions, clicks, CTR, or query mix and recommending responses
  • Reviewing competitor and peer institution search performance for benchmarking and insights
  • Analyzing performance data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Semrush across priority pages and sections
  • Building and maintaining dashboards and recurring reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing key takeaways and trends
  • Tracking and evaluating the impact of optimizations on specific pages and content groups, reporting outcomes and lessons to inform future work
  • Maintaining brand standards across search-facing content
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available for this position)
  • Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  • Experience in digital marketing, search, or content strategy
  • Experience developing SEO-informed content briefs or translating search insights into content strategy
  • Experience building dashboards or recurring performance reports (Looker Studio or similar)
  • Demonstrated interest in SEO platforms and AI-assisted methods for search analysis and content optimization
  • Proven experience driving positive results in SEO
  • Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Strong written communication skills for writing briefs and strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
  • Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Additional Details
  • Salary is $71,500-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
