For this opportunity, PSI is partnering with a school to support students in a Multi-Intensive Autism Center. The BCBA will provide ABA programming throughout the school day, oversee the integrity of programming and service activities for assigned students, and collaborate with the educational team to support student progress.

Assignment Experience (What You Can Expect)

  • Multi-Intensive Autism Center setting supporting students with autism
  • Typical caseload discussed before submission
  • School-based programming throughout the school day
  • Collaborative team including Intervention Specialists, related service providers, school leadership, and Compliance Managers
  • 1–2 building placement when possible
  • Opportunities to participate in educational team meetings and collaborate on student goals

Your Impact as a PSI BCBA

You’ll support students across behavioral, social-emotional, and academic domains while helping schools create environments where students can thrive.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as needed
  • Develop and implement evidence-based ABA programming based on student assessments, needs, and goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions and programming based on data
  • Oversee the integrity of ABA programming and service activities for assigned students
  • Provide targeted individual and small-group programming to support students in achieving their IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, families, school leadership, Compliance Managers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in educational team meetings and assist in determining appropriate IEP goals
  • Coach and train BTs and RBTs in the implementation of programming, interventions, and behavior supports
  • Provide RBT supervision in accordance with BACB guidelines
  • Provide regular parent/guardian communication regarding student progress
  • Support student safety and utilize appropriate de-escalation strategies when needed
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate student data and records to inform programming decisions
  • Support a classroom culture of high expectations for all students

IEP writing and compliance are primarily supported by the Compliance Manager, allowing the BCBA to focus on planning, delivering, monitoring, and responding to student programming.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree required in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • Valid BCBA Certification in good standing required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • School-based experience required
  • Experience providing ABA programming and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Experience providing targeted and individualized programming to students with autism
  • Experience coaching and supervising BTs and RBTs
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use and analyze data to drive programming decisions
  • Experience utilizing technology in an instructional environment
  • Commitment to cultural humility, self-reflection, and culturally responsive practice
  • Passion for supporting students and communities that have historically been underserved and under-resourced
