SAP BRIM Data Migration Architect

e&e is seeking a SAP BRIM Data Migration Architect a hybrid contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA!

The SAP BRIM Data Migration Architect will lead the design, architecture, and execution of complex data migration initiatives supporting enterprise SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) implementations. This role is responsible for developing scalable migration strategies and solutions across customer, subscription, contract account, billing, invoicing, payment, and financial data. The Architect will work closely with SAP functional and technical teams, business stakeholders, and migration resources to ensure data is accurately transformed, validated, reconciled, and successfully deployed into the SAP BRIM environment. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP BRIM knowledge with strong data migration, ETL, architecture, and technical leadership expertise.

• Key Responsibilities
• Data Migration Strategy & Architecture
• Lead the architecture, planning, design, and execution of SAP BRIM data migration initiatives.
• Define migration frameworks, standards, governance processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Design end-to-end migration solutions for customer, contract account, subscription, billing, invoicing, payment, and financial data.
• Analyze legacy data structures and map source data to SAP BRIM target models.
• Develop migration roadmaps, conversion strategies, cutover plans, and reconciliation approaches.
• Ensure migration solutions are scalable, repeatable, auditable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• SAP BRIM & Data Migration
• Support migration activities across SAP BRIM components, including:
• SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM)
• SAP Convergent Charging (CC)
• SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI)
• SAP Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)
• SAP BRIM integrations and related S/4HANA processes
• Ensure migration architecture aligns with BRIM business processes and functional requirements.
• Create source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and migration specifications.
• Perform and oversee data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Identify data inconsistencies, root causes, and migration defects and drive them through resolution.
• Establish data quality controls, governance standards, and audit processes.
• Technical Leadership & Development Oversight
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to migration developers, analysts, and other project resources.
• Oversee the development and execution of ETL processes, migration scripts, interfaces, and automation solutions.
• Utilize SAP Data Services (BODS), SAP Migration Cockpit, SQL, and other ETL/data integration technologies.
• Review technical designs and specifications to ensure compliance with migration and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis, security, infrastructure, integration, and functional teams.
• Lead technical workshops and support architectural and design decisions.
• Testing, Validation & Reconciliation
• Support unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, mock conversions, and production readiness activities.
• Lead data reconciliation and validation to confirm migrated data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
• Define migration success criteria and controls for validating source-to-target results.
• Support performance tuning and optimization of high-volume migration processes.
• Analyze and resolve issues identified throughout testing and conversion cycles.
• Cutover & Deployment
• Develop detailed migration cutover plans, schedules, dependencies, and execution procedures.
• Coordinate migration activities during production go-live and stabilization periods.
• Support production deployment, data validation, troubleshooting, and hypercare.
• Ensure migration risks, issues, and dependencies are identified and communicated to project leadership.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation
• Partner with business users, functional leads, architects, and technical teams to gather and validate migration requirements.
• Communicate migration status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to technical and project leadership.
• Maintain migration architecture documentation, mapping specifications, runbooks, reconciliation procedures, and operational documentation.
• Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and technical guidance to internal teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and executing SAP BRIM data migrations within complex, large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP BRIM components, including FI-CA, SOM, Convergent Charging, and Convergent Invoicing.
• Experience developing enterprise data migration strategies, architectures, frameworks, and cutover approaches.
• Strong experience with SAP migration technologies and methodologies, including:
• SAP Data Services (BODS)
• SAP Migration Cockpit
• ETL and data integration tools
• SQL and data analysis
• Data modeling and source-to-target mapping
• Experience integrating SAP BRIM with SAP S/4HANA, CRM platforms, middleware, CI/CD environments, and third-party billing or subscription systems.
• Strong understanding of data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, audit controls, and migration validation practices.
• Ability to lead technical teams, workshops, architecture discussions, and migration planning sessions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced enterprise transformation programs.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within utilities, telecommunications, subscription services, or other high-volume billing environments.
• Experience with cloud-based SAP environments, including RISE with SAP.
• Familiarity with SAP environments hosted on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience supporting Agile, hybrid, and enterprise transformation delivery methodologies.
• Previous consulting or contracting experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation programs.
• SAP BRIM, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Data Services, SAP Activate, or related SAP certifications are preferred.
• AWS, Azure, or other cloud architecture certifications are a plus.

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant professional experience may be considered.
