SAP Applications Analyst

• Position Overview
• We are seeking an SAP Enterprise Applications Analyst to join our Enterprise Application Support team. In this role, you will support day-to-day operations for SAP Business ByDesign, integrated enterprise applications, and serve as the internal functional leader for our upcoming migration to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

This is a functional analyst role (not a custom developer position) focused on application administration, system configuration, vendor management, process improvement, and operational reporting. You will partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure seamless ERP performance, maintain data integrity, and translate evolving business needs into effective system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• ERP Support & Application Administration
• Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the lead internal ERP contact for users across purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, sales, finance, and other core business functions.
• Issue Resolution & Escalation: Troubleshoot functional issues, document operational impact, coordinate escalations with external support vendors, and validate final resolutions with business stakeholders.
• Ecosystem Support: Support integrated applications—including SAP Concur Expenses and Avalara Tax Services—while monitoring ERP interfaces, data transfers, and resolving integration/transaction failures.

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Transition & Project Leadership
• Cloud Migration Lead: Drive internal functional activities for the transition from SAP Business ByDesign to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• End-to-End Implementation: Lead requirements gathering, business process mapping, end-to-end testing, user adoption/training, cutover readiness, sign-offs, and post-go-live hypercare.
• Data Migration & Validation: Coordinate data preparation, mapping, validation, and reconciliation for inventory, open orders, WIP, received-not-invoiced balances, and financial history to ensure business continuity.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Vendor Coordination: Manage implementation partners and support vendors across priorities, project scope, deliverables, timelines, SLA performance, and configuration quality.
• Solution Validation: Define business acceptance criteria and validate vendor demonstrations, configuration changes, and custom solution proposals prior to rollout.
• Governance & Data Ownership: Partner with functional process owners (who retain data and policy ownership) to evaluate requirements against standard SAP capabilities and govern customization requests.

• Process Optimization & Business Intelligence
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, maintain a prioritized improvement backlog with business leaders based on ROI/effort/risk, and promote process standardization.
• Reporting & Analytics: Collaborate with key stakeholders to build and maintain actionable reports and dashboards that support operational decision-making.

• Qualifications & Skills Summary
• ERP Experience: Solid hands-on functional experience with SAP Business ByDesign and/or SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Integrated Tools: Familiarity with connected solutions like SAP Concur and Avalara.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory control, and financial accounting workflows.
• Project & Vendor Management: Proven experience managing third-party implementation partners and leading complex migration activities.
• Role Type: Functional configuration, business analysis, and process optimization focus (non-coding).
