Description
Our client, sells its products through a partner channel of managed service providers (MSPs), value-added resellers, and distributors, who in turn serve small and mid-sized businesses. The business applications team needs an experienced Business Systems Analyst who can step in, get oriented quickly, and start moving work forward with very little direction.
You will focus on the company's go-to-market systems, all built on Salesforce, helping sales and partner-facing teams get the processes and tools they need. Most of the work is a backlog of enhancements and fixes, alongside a handful of small to medium-sized projects. You will join a small, collaborative team of BSAs.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Partner with sales, partner/channel, and operations stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear business and functional requirements.
- Own and work through a backlog of Salesforce enhancements and fixes, helping the business prioritize what matters most.
- Lead the analysis on small to medium-sized go-to-market projects from discovery through delivery.
- Write well-structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ready for development.
- Map and document end-to-end business processes (current and future state) across the opportunity-to-quote lifecycle.
- Work day to day with the development team to clarify requirements, answer questions, and remove blockers.
- Plan and run testing, including test cases, functional testing, and coordinating user acceptance testing with the business.
- Coordinate with BSAs supporting quote-to-cash (Zuora, NetSuite) where go-to-market work crosses into their areas.
Required
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst, with a track record of working independently.
- Deep, hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud supporting go-to-market or sales operations processes.
- Strong command of core BA practices: requirements gathering, user stories, process mapping, and testing. This role has no ramp-up time for learning the craft.
- Experience working in Agile teams alongside Salesforce developers and administrators.
- Clear, confident communication with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Comfort operating in a changing environment and managing a backlog with shifting priorities.
Preferred
- Experience supporting partner or channel sales models (MSPs, VARs, distributors, or other indirect sales).
- Exposure to Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (partner portals), Government Cloud, or Agentforce.
- Familiarity with quoting and the handoff into quote-to-cash systems such as Zuora or NetSuite.
- Background in B2B SaaS or software companies.
- Salesforce certifications (for example, Business Analyst or Administrator).
What Success Looks Like
Within the first few weeks, you have taken ownership of the go-to-market backlog, built working relationships with key business stakeholders, and are delivering development-ready stories and tested changes without needing close oversight. By the end of the engagement, the backlog is meaningfully reduced, priority projects are delivered, and the team has the capacity it needs as new leadership comes on board.
