  • Position Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to support the Salesforce Center of Innovation (CoI). The Functional Analyst will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into scalable Salesforce solutions that align with the mission and operational objectives.
  • This role requires strong business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and Salesforce platform expertise to support the design, implementation, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise-wide Salesforce solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and program leadership to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews to understand business processes, pain points, and future-state objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and solution documentation.
  • Partner with Salesforce Architects, Developers, Administrators, and QA teams to design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes and workflows.
  • Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Review proposed technical solutions to validate alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in data analysis, reporting requirements, dashboard design, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and knowledge transfer documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through Salesforce automation and process standardization.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security, governance, and documentation standards.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or Salesforce Consultant.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Salesforce implementations or enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Platform functionality.
  • Experience creating:
  • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs); Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria; Process Flow Diagrams; Use Cases and Gap Analyses
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable functional designs.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
