DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKS:

  • We are seeking an experienced Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst to support a federal client in assessing,
  • analyzing, and improving an existing Salesforce environment. This role will work closely with
  • business stakeholders, Salesforce architects, administrators, and technical teams to gather
  • requirements, document current-state and future-state processes, and support modernization and
  • optimization initiatives across the Salesforce platform. The Business Analyst will facilitate discovery
  • activities, analyze business workflows, identify operational and functional gaps, and help translate
  • business needs into actionable user stories and solution recommendations. The ideal candidate has
  • strong business analysis expertise, Salesforce platform knowledge, excellent communication skills,
  • and experience supporting complex enterprise or federal environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • o Conduct discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops with business and
  • technical teams.
  • o Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, process maps, and user
  • stories.
  • o Analyze existing Salesforce business processes, configurations, reporting, automation, and user
  • experience.
  • o Support assessment activities related to GAO audit findings, compliance requirements, and
  • operational risks.
  • o Collaborate with Salesforce Solution Architects, administrators, developers, and program
  • leadership to define solution recommendations.
  • o Assist with backlog management, prioritization activities, and roadmap planning.
  • o Facilitate communication and alignment between business stakeholders and technical delivery
  • teams.
  • o Develop business process documentation, executive summaries, presentations, and status
  • reports.
  • o Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting, data quality, governance,
  • automation, and user adoption.
  • o Support testing, validation, change management, training, and user adoption efforts as needed.

Required skills/Level of Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or related business systems
  • analyst role.
  • Salesforce Admin Certification is a must
  • o Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements gathering,
  • and discovery sessions.
  • o Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Service Cloud,
  • Lightning Experience, workflows/automation, reports, dashboards,
  • profiles/permissions, and data management.
  • o Experience creating and documenting business requirements, user stories,
  • acceptance criteria, workflows, and process maps.
  • o Ability to analyze business processes and identify functional gaps and improvement
  • opportunities.
  • o Experience supporting Agile delivery methodologies, backlog grooming, and sprint
  • planning activities.
  • o Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • o Experience collaborating with architects, developers, administrators, testers, and
  • executive stakeholders.
  • o Familiarity with governance, developers, administrators, testers, and executive
  • stakeholders.
  • o Familiarity with governance, compliance, audit, and risk management activities within
  • enterprise environments.
  • o Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex organization.
  • o Strong understanding of the future of AI Agents and data as it applies to the
  • Salesforce ecosystem.
  • o Ability to obtain and/or maintain a federal government clearance (Public Trust).

Nice to have skills:

  • o Experience supporting federal government agencies or public sector organizations.
  • o Familiarity with GAO audits, federal compliance standards, or oversight processes.
  • o Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Business Analyst, Administrator, Platform
  • App Builder, or Service Cloud Consultant.
  • o Experience supporting Salesforce modernization and migration initiatives.
  • o Knowledge of Agile tools and product backlog management practices.
  • o Experience with data governance, reporting strategy, and Salesforce integrations.
  • o Familiarity with DevOps and release management practices within Salesforce
  • environments.
  • Experience supporting user training, organizational change management, and adoption
  • initiatives
