Position Summary Description

Position is responsible for supporting the Corporate Planning process using production cost models to prepare input for long-term financial forecasting, in addition to performing ad-hoc studies for rates, budgeting, regulatory or other purposes.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent. Electrical utility experience preferred, as well as knowledge of utility and/or resource planning principles.

Willing to fill at level commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions

Performs production cost modeling studies using software to support the Corporate Planning process, preparation of financial forecasts, annual budget development, regulatory filings and ad-hoc analyses.

Develops and maintains processes and procedures to ensure production cost models remain up-to-date and performs production cost modeling studies.

Coordinates with Corporate Planning staff in the centralized collection, development and validation of modeling assumptions for alignment across Corporate Planning as well as Finance for long-term financial forecasts.

Validates production cost results and develops clear summary reports for senior management.

Coordinates with Seminole’s Regulatory team regarding annual updates and submission of Seminole’s Ten-Year Site Plan to the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC).

Coordinates with Seminole’s Regulatory team and other internal teams such as Load Forecasting to prepare responses to data requests for various Southeastern Electric Reliability Council (SERC) and Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC) activities.

Supports Finance with production cost modeling needed for major project financing from the Rural Utility Service (RUS).

Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.

NERC Compliance: Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole's Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in "audit-ready" form. You should also be familiar with Seminole's Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole's compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

Working Conditions

Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment.
