  • Role Description The Research Analyst is a part-time, remote position based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. In this role, the individual conducts fundamental and quantitative research on publicly traded companies, industries, and market trends to support value-oriented investment decisions. Daily responsibilities include gathering and analyzing financial statements, building and updating spreadsheets, preparing written reports, and presenting findings to the investment team. The Research Analyst collaborates with other team members to develop investment theses, monitor portfolio performance, and support ongoing risk management. The role also involves staying current with financial news, economic data, and relevant academic research to inform the fund’s investment strategy.
  • Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Statistics to interpret data, evaluate investments, and support evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience in Market Research and Research to collect, synthesize, and assess information about companies, industries, and macroeconomic conditions.
  • Effective Communication skills to prepare clear written reports, present findings, and contribute to team discussions and investment committees.
  • Familiarity with basic financial concepts (e.g., valuation, financial statement analysis) and comfort working with spreadsheets and financial data tools.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant academic background in finance, economics, statistics, business, or a related field is beneficial; prior experience with equity research or investing is a plus.
