Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Data Analyst supporting Y20 India 2023 initiatives. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and organize data from surveys, reports, public datasets, and internal sources. Responsibilities include conducting statistical analyses, building basic data models, and generating insights to inform policy briefs, presentations, and communications. The role involves preparing clear visualizations and dashboards, documenting methodologies, and presenting findings in accessible language for diverse stakeholders. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, respond to ad-hoc data requests, and ensure data quality, consistency, and ethical handling of information.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in Data Analytics.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Statistics and experience applying statistical methods to real-world data.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Data Modeling and working with structured and unstructured datasets.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Python/R, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial.
Attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting are essential.
Experience with policy, social research, or international development data is a plus.
Relevant academic background in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
