We are seeking a Regulatory & Product Data Specialist to support regulatory compliance, product data management, and laboratory operations while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product information across our systems.

Position Summary

The Regulatory & Product Data Specialist will be responsible for maintaining product specifications, managing regulatory documentation, supporting laboratory testing activities, and ensuring accurate product data throughout the product lifecycle. This position works closely with Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, R&D, Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

  • Collect, review, and maintain supplier regulatory documentation including:
  • Specifications
  • Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
  • Allergen statements
  • GMO statements
  • Country of Origin documentation
  • Food safety certifications
  • Ensure SQF compliance and customer-specific requirements.
  • Support food labeling reviews and ingredient compliance assessments.
  • Maintain regulatory databases and document control systems.

Product Data Management

  • Create and maintain product records in ERP and Regulatory Document Management systems.
  • Manage product specifications, nutritional data, ingredient declarations, and packaging information.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of product information across multiple databases and platforms.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to identify discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain data governance procedures.

Laboratory Support

Conduct routine laboratory analyses including:

  • Titrations
  • HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
  • FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy)
  • Record, analyze, and report laboratory results.
  • Assist with method validation and laboratory documentation.
  • Preparation of customer samples.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Analyze product, quality, and regulatory data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support data migration and database management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams on data integration projects.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives related to product launches and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables across departments.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to data quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Associate’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Data Analytics, Regulatory Affairs, or a related scientific field, is a plus.
  • 2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, food ingredients, consumer packaged goods, or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong knowledge of food labeling regulations and food safety requirements.
  • Experience managing product specifications and regulatory documentation.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with ERP or Master Data Management systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.
  • Laboratory experience with Titrations, HPLC and FTIR instrumentation.
