REGULATORY BUSINESS ANALYST – AxiomSL / FR 2052a

• Ailes Consulting is looking for an experienced Regulatory Business Analyst to support a major regulatory reporting initiative within a Corporate & Investment Banking environment.
• The assignment will focus primarily on FR 2052a, with additional exposure to FR Y-15, and requires strong hands-on expertise with AxiomSL / ControllerView.

• What You’ll Do
• Perform a comprehensive gap analysis between the existing Axiom reporting environment and current regulatory requirements.
• Review existing FR 2052a and FR Y-15 reports, configurations and underlying data.
• Assess current versus target-state data landscapes and identify missing fields, granularity and data-quality gaps.
• Analyze data sets, feeds and upstream source systems.
• Define data sourcing, mapping and transformation requirements.
• Translate Federal Reserve reporting requirements into clear business and functional requirements.
• Develop detailed data mapping specifications between source systems and the Axiom data model.
• Work closely with Finance, IT and business stakeholders.
• Develop recommendations and a remediation roadmap supporting the subsequent implementation phase.

• Mandatory Experience
• Hands-on AxiomSL / ControllerView experience.
• Proven implementation experience with FR 2052a.
• Strong Regulatory Reporting experience within a banking / CIB environment.
• Ability to independently navigate Axiom, review existing configurations and analyze underlying data.
• Strong understanding of financial products and banking data.
• Experience performing regulatory gap analysis, data mapping and requirements definition.
• Ability to work independently and drive complex topics through completion.

Important: General regulatory reporting exposure alone is not sufficient. We are specifically looking for candidates who have directly participated in an FR 2052a implementation.

• Nice to Have
• FR Y-15 implementation or reporting experience.
• SQL for data analysis.
• Power BI.
• Previous experience re-engineering or remediating legacy regulatory reporting solutions.

• Profile
• We are open on overall seniority. Depth and relevance of FR 2052a and Axiom experience are more important than total years of experience.
• A candidate with several years of highly relevant FR 2052a implementation experience may therefore be considered even without a traditional 10+ year Senior BA background.
