Datacenter People are currently supporting a global leader in liquid leak detection technology in the search for a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across the data center and critical infrastructure markets.
Depending on candidate location they will either be covering the US West Coast or Mid-West regions.
This is a hunter-style business development role focused on winning new projects, developing relationships with consultants, contractors and end users, and increasing market share within one of the fastest-growing segments of critical infrastructure.
The role offers the opportunity to represent a technically differentiated solution trusted by many of the world's largest hyperscalers, colocation providers and mission-critical operators.
- The Opportunity
- You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for advanced liquid leak detection systems used within data centers, critical infrastructure, commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
The solutions are deployed globally and protect some of the world's most critical environments, helping operators identify and locate water, fuel and chemical leaks before they become major operational risks.
- What the Job Involves…
- Generate new business opportunities across data center, mission-critical and construction markets
- Develop relationships with consultants, engineering firms, contractors and end users
- Influence project specifications and secure vendor approval status
- Manage opportunities from initial engagement through to project award
- Identify and pursue strategic accounts across the territory
- Deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers and stakeholders
- Attend industry events, conferences and networking activities
- Work closely with internal technical and project teams to support successful project delivery
- Maintain pipeline visibility and provide regular sales forecasting
Projects typically range from tens of thousands to several hundred thousand dollars in value and involve engagement with multiple stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
- We're Looking for Someone Who...
- Experience in technical sales, business development or account management
- Background within data center infrastructure sales
- Comfortable engaging both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Experience working with consultants, contractors and end users
- Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to develop new business opportunities
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex project opportunities
