Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst

We're hiring a Remote - Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst for our client. The role focuses on reconciling money, tracing the end-to-end flow of funds, and meeting our tax and regulatory reporting obligations to merchants, customers, and authorities worldwide

• What You'll Bring
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across payment networks, banks, processors, and internal systems to ensure financial accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies through root-cause analysis.
• Build and maintain SQL-based reconciliation reports, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions.
• Monitor settlement, funding, and banking activities to identify issues and exceptions.
• Support month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Accounting, Treasury, and Compliance teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance reconciliation efficiency.
• Track and communicate key reconciliation metrics and operational performance.

• What You'll Do
• 5+ years of experience in payments, reconciliation, settlement, finance operations, accounting, or financial analytics.
• Strong SQL skills with experience developing automated reports and dashboards.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large transactional datasets.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, payment processing, and financial reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with card network settlements (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), ACH, wire transfers, or payment operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker and experience supporting audits or financial controls is preferred.
