- Project Overview
- This project focuses on enhancing and stabilizing the automated Tableau workflows used to support post-market complaint and adverse event trending. These workflows integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., CATSWeb, Veeva Safety, Oracle) into a validated analytics platform for data preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- The current Tableau automation has significantly improved efficiency by replacing manual, spreadsheet-based processes, but ongoing updates and evolving business requirements require continued development.
- The temporary resource will play a key role in implementing these updates, improving the robustness of the Tableau workflows, and preparing the system for eventual transition into the company’s Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- • Enhance Tableau Data Workflows
- o Update and refine Tableau Prep flows and dashboards to incorporate new data sources, metrics, and reporting requirements
- o Improve data transformations, logic, and integration across multiple source systems
- • Maintain and Optimize Automation
- o Ensure existing Tableau workflows continue to run reliably and produce consistent outputs
- o Troubleshoot issues related to data discrepancies, broken flows, or incomplete outputs
- • Support Complaint Trending Deliverables
- o Assist in generating monthly complaint and adverse event trending outputs, including dashboards, slides, and supporting analysis
- o Ensure outputs align with quality procedures and reporting expectations
- • Improve Data Quality and Consistency
- o Identify and resolve inconsistencies between source data and Tableau outputs
- o Help standardize logic and reduce manual intervention in data preparation
- • Document and Prepare for Handoff
- o Document Tableau workflows, logic, and dependencies to support knowledge transfer
- o Organize Tableau processes to enable seamless transition to a future full-time hire
- • Support Long-Term Transition to GCP
- o Structure Tableau workflows in a way that facilitates replication in the company’s cloud-based data environment
- o Provide input on how existing logic and data transformations can be translated into scalable data pipelines

- • Reduced reliance on manual Excel-based data preparation
- • Increased alignment of outputs with evolving stakeholder and SOP requirements
