- Position Overview
- We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Analyst I to support laboratory testing and quality activities within a regulated manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role is responsible for performing analytical testing, documenting results, maintaining compliance with quality standards, and supporting day-to-day laboratory operations.
- The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and data integrity. Entry-level candidates with relevant scientific education are encouraged to apply, and prior laboratory experience is a plus.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of finished products, raw materials, intermediates, in-process samples, environmental samples, water samples, and other materials in accordance with approved laboratory methods and procedures.
- Accurately document testing activities, observations, and results in laboratory records and electronic systems.
- Enter and maintain test data within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and other quality management tools.
- Review test results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with documentation requirements.
- Communicate unusual, unexpected, or out-of-specification results to laboratory leadership in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate, complete, legible, and contemporaneous records of all work performed.
- Adhere to established testing schedules and meet assigned deadlines.
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), laboratory procedures, safety requirements, and departmental policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to support laboratory workflows and operational goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
- Perform additional laboratory responsibilities as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Associate degree in a relevant scientific field plus two years of laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices, scientific testing methods, and quality systems.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn laboratory software systems.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous laboratory experience through academic research, internships, coursework, or industry settings.
- Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Familiarity with regulated laboratory environments and quality systems.
- Exposure to cGMP regulations and quality-control testing practices.
- Experience reviewing and documenting laboratory data and test results.
