Quality Assurance Analyst

SAM Nutrition — the largest U.S. importer and distributor of animal, human, and plant nutrition ingredients — is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing quality team.
• This role sits at the intersection of laboratory science, supplier quality, and regulatory compliance — giving you broad visibility into how a complex, global supply chain stays safe and audit-ready.

• What you'll own
• →Plan and manage the full lab and sampling lifecycle — from internal testing to third-party partner coordination, including traceability, shipment prep, and data reporting
• →Analyze testing trends statistically to surface non-conformances early and make actionable recommendations to QA leadership
• →Support vendor qualification by reviewing COAs, test reports, and supplier documentation — and tracking supplier performance over time
• →Help maintain Safe Feed/Safe Food (SF/SF) certification readiness, including internal audits, corrective action tracking, and documentation
• →Investigate customer complaints end-to-end, conducting root cause analysis and driving preventive action
• →Maintain regulatory records in compliance with FSMA, FDA, and related standards

• What we're looking for
• ✓Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Animal Science, or related field with 1–3 years of QA/lab experience — or — Associate's degree with 3–5 years in quality, laboratory, or a regulated industry

• ✓Strong analytical instincts — you're comfortable with statistical evaluation and interpreting complex data sets
• ✓Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing the thread
• ✓Experience in a regulated environment (food, feed, pharma, or similar) is a strong plus
