About The Role

We are seeking an experienced QA engineer to join our dedicated team working on one of our flagship products, Structure for Jira. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that aligns with our team’s collaborative and innovative spirit. As part of an agile environment, you will focus on testing various aspects of our products, including compatibility, performance, and system integration, to support rapid deployment without compromising quality. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing comprehensive testing activities, triaging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, designers, and technical writers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence in software delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing
  • Proven expertise in manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Experience in creating and maintaining checklists for testing processes
  • Web application testing experience, including business logic, usability, and UI testing
  • Understanding of HTTP methods such as GET and POST
  • Basic knowledge of Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and security testing principles
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence platforms
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

Preferred qualifications include ISTQB certification, Jira administration experience, familiarity with agile development practices, performance testing, security testing, and experience with mind maps.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate testing activities within sprint and release cycles
  • Conduct requirements testing, performance assessments, compatibility, and system integration testing
  • Perform exploratory and scripted testing across all products to identify issues and areas for improvement
  • Triaging and documenting bugs and issues, ensuring clear communication for resolution
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, developers, and technical writers to ensure quality standards are met
  • Develop and maintain checklists and testing documentation to streamline QA processes
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings to provide QA insights
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and tools
