Position Overview

Our Direct is seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to support laboratory quality assurance, data validation, and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) initiatives.

This role involves working closely with chemists and developers to ensure accurate data capture, regulatory compliance, system validation, and traceability of laboratory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with chemists and software developers to document and implement laboratory quality assurance requirements.
• Support the implementation, integration, testing, and validation of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), particularly STARLIMS.
• Revise and improve existing Python code and data operations to enhance efficiency and system integration.
• Develop, review, and verify quality program standards based on EPA chemistry test methods.
• Review program specifications, documentation, and system functionality to ensure compliance with user requirements and established standards.
• Identify system issues, recommend corrective actions, and communicate improvement opportunities to development teams.
• Review chemistry data packages for compliance with environmental and public health regulatory requirements, including EPA and FDA standards.
• Verify the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of laboratory results and reporting documentation.
• Review chemistry procedures for deviations from published methods and established standards.
• Review laboratory system outputs, audit trails, and electronic records to ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Evaluate chemical inventory systems and support laboratory operational improvements.
• Assist with annual competency reviews for chemists across multiple analytical methods.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1 3 years of experience in quality assurance within an analytical, environmental, chemical, or similar laboratory.
• Experience collaborating with chemists, IT professionals, or software developers.
• Understanding of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS); STARLIMS experience is relevant.
• Experience with system testing, validation, defect identification, or data quality assurance.
• Knowledge of laboratory documentation, electronic records, data integrity, and traceability.
• Familiarity with EPA chemistry test methods and regulatory quality requirements.
• Experience reviewing analytical data packages and verifying laboratory reporting accuracy.
• Python programming or scripting experience to support data operations and system integration.
• Experience validating Excel spreadsheets or analytical calculations is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
