We're hiring a strategic buyer ready to own their commodity lines end to end.
The role:
You'll manage inventory, vendor relationships, and supply chain performance for assigned product lines — with the goal of keeping product available, costs controlled, and customers happy. This isn't a PO-processing job. You'll be expected to anticipate problems before they happen and build the strategies to prevent them.
What you'll do:
- Own procurement for assigned commodities — sourcing, forecasting, vendor management
- Monitor ERP data and inventory levels to drive smart purchasing decisions
- Manage supplier relationships and hold them accountable on cost, quality, and delivery
- Perform landed cost analysis factoring in freight, duty, and tariffs
- Support global trade compliance and import/export documentation
- Partner with Sales to align supply with demand
- Drive continuous cost improvement through fact-based negotiation
What we're looking for:
- 5-10 years in purchasing and logistics (global experience a plus)
- Strategic thinker — not just an executor
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong negotiator with solid communication skills
- ERP proficiency
- PMP certification a plus
Details:
- Grand Prairie, TX — fully onsite, M-F
- $68K base, flex up for the right person
- Some global travel required
- No relocation assistance
- USC or Green Card required
