Public Finance Analyst

• Position Overview
• We are seeking a detail-oriented Public Finance Analyst to join our Brookfield office.
• This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys research, writing, working with financial information, and learning a highly specialized industry. Public finance experience is not required—we provide extensive hands-on training—but you must be comfortable working with numbers, preparing professional documents, communicating with clients, and learning complex processes.

• What You'll Do
• As a Public Finance Analyst, you will support municipal bond financings from beginning to end by:
• Researching financial and demographic information through phone calls, emails, public records, websites, and client communications
• Preparing and proofreading Official Statements (municipal bond disclosure documents)
• Entering, verifying, and formatting financial data using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Collecting and organizing audit and financial information from municipalities and school districts
• Communicating directly with clients to gather required documentation
• Monitoring electronic bond bidding platforms during bond sales
• Assisting with bond rating presentation materials
• Preparing closing instructions and coordinating financing documentation
• Supporting clients with annual reporting requirements
• Preparing invoices and tracking payments
• Providing administrative support and assisting teammates as needed
• As your experience grows, you'll also learn specialized municipal bond software and assist with amortization schedules and financing analyses.

Qualifications

• Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Public Administration, or a related field
• Internship or professional experience in finance, banking, accounting, administration, or analytical roles
