Job Summary: The Prospect Research Analyst I assists in identifying and providing research information on individual, corporation, and foundation major gift prospects to assist individuals within and outside the University who conduct University advancement programs. This research is vital to successful advancement activities of the President, Vice President for University Advancement, Associate Vice President for Development, Deans, and Development Officers in the University's colleges, schools, and other divisions.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Strong editing skills. Detail oriented. Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database management, etc.). Self-motivated and well organized.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in prospect research, development, library research, or information related field in a higher education environment. Knowledge of the range of resources available to prospect researchers and the ability to apply those resources in an organized and purposeful manner.
