• About the Opportunity
• Makwa Resourcing is seeking Senior Power Platform Developers to support a large-scale digital modernization initiative within the Federal Government of Canada.
• The successful consultants will provide senior-level expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365, supporting the design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of modern enterprise digital solutions.
• This is a hands-on development role for experienced Power Platform professionals who can contribute throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) while providing technical leadership, best-practice guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and support enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong focus on Power Apps Model-Driven Applications (MDA).
• Translate complex business processes and requirements into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.
• Design and architect Microsoft Dataverse data models, including tables, relationships, metadata, and security.
• Lead and participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Design application layouts, navigation, Site Maps, and user experiences for Model-Driven Applications.
• Build, configure, and maintain Model-Driven Application components.
• Implement synchronous and asynchronous functional logic, including business rules, data validation, automated calculations, workflows, and notifications.
• Develop custom server-side and client-side extensions using C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Design and implement secure integrations between Power Platform, Dynamics 365, external APIs, legacy applications, and enterprise systems.
• Develop custom connectors and middleware components to enable seamless data exchange.
• Establish and maintain data synchronization and migration strategies while ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Leverage Copilot, AI models, and conversational interfaces to enhance application functionality and user productivity.
• Configure secure application architectures incorporating data segregation, granular access controls, column-level security, auditing, and logging.
• Develop and test solutions against EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.
• Support multilingual application configurations.
• Manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) activities and utilize CI/CD pipelines to promote solutions across environments.
• Work within an Agile development environment, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and peer code reviews.
• Maintain source code and solution components within established repositories.
• Provide expert-level technical support, troubleshooting, documentation, knowledge transfer, and mentoring.
