2. About the Opportunity:
The Program Risk Analyst role focuses on supporting risk management for major infrastructure programs by assisting the program Risk Manager. The position involves developing risk management plans, facilitating risk assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies to manage program risks effectively. This role is critical in ensuring that risk is quantified, communicated, and mitigated, contributing to the successful delivery of large infrastructure projects.
3. Responsibilities:
- • Support preparation of program and project risk management plans and processes
- • Develop and track risk mitigation plans and control mechanisms
- • Assist in executing and maintaining risk management frameworks and data use cases
- • Identify and help manage program risks with appropriate mitigation and communication
- • Facilitate risk interviews and workshops to gather requirements and build consensus
- • Collaborate with business customers, project managers, engineers, and functional managers
- • Organize and facilitate construction risk mitigation meetings
- • Develop ad hoc risk communications to support program decision points
- • Review program documents and analyze data to develop risk registers
- • Support schedule critical reviews and cost estimate analyses
- • Develop quantitative integrated cost and schedule risk models using specialized software
- • Prepare risk communications including memos, dashboards, reports, and presentations
- • Assist in risk allocation and transfer strategies within procurement and design
- • Support program managers and collaborate with the risk management team
4. Requirements:
- • BA/BS degree with at least two years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience
- • Preferred: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field
- • 3 to 5 years of experience in Construction Management, Program Management, and/or Risk Assessments
- • Strong asset: M.A.Sc. or M.B.A. in Civil Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- • Experience with quantitative and qualitative cost/schedule risk assessments
- • Familiarity with statistical assessments and Monte Carlo simulation software such as @Risk, Acumen, ARM, or InEight
