A well-established, nationally recognized retail company is seeking a Technical Product Manager to support its Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) initiative. This is a hands-on product role focused on discovery, stakeholder management, technical requirements, and end-to-end delivery of scalable enterprise data products.

The company is undergoing a major, multi-year data transformation and modernizing its data environment to support analytics, AI, and future business initiatives. The Technical Product Manager will work closely with engineering, architecture, data governance, analytics, and business teams to help shape and deliver the platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders across merchandising, planning, operations, marketing, finance, inventory, and other business functions
• Identify business needs and translate them into scalable enterprise data products
• Define and prioritize product roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint goals
• Partner with engineering, architecture, data governance, and analytics teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Translate business requirements into user stories, technical requirements, data schemas, and API requirements
• Balance new feature development with platform stability, scalability, performance, and technical debt
• Partner with data governance and quality teams to improve data accessibility, documentation, and accuracy
• Validate enhancements and ensure products meet business and technical requirements
• Drive adoption of modern data capabilities across the organization

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, specifically building and scaling enterprise data products or data platforms
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to discuss data models, schemas, and architecture with engineering teams
• Experience working with modern cloud data environments such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
• Experience with product discovery, stakeholder management, roadmap development, and Agile product delivery
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and cloud data architecture
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and product priorities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience balancing strategic product priorities with hands-on execution and delivery
