Summary
Axonic Insurance, a NYC-based insurance business, is seeking a Product Management Analyst to support our fixed annuity business by assisting with product-related initiatives, including product implementation, product maintenance, business reporting and analysis, system enhancements, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with Product Management, Operations, Marketing, Technology, Compliance, and other stakeholders to help translate product needs into clear requirements, practical deliverables, and successful execution.
This position is ideal for an early-career professional with life insurance or annuity product experience who is looking to continue building expertise in product management, business analysis, and project delivery within the financial services industry
- Key Responsibilities
- Support fixed annuity product development, product implementation, product maintenance, system enhancements, and related regulatory or compliance initiatives.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements for fixed annuity products, processes, system enhancements, and operational workflows.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of product documentation, functional specifications, test plans, process documentation, reports, dashboards, and related deliverables.
- Coordinate with Product Management, developers, QA analysts, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and business users throughout the product and project lifecycle.
- Support testing activities, including test case development, user acceptance testing, defect documentation, and validation of system functionality.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses using Excel, SQL, or other reporting tools, as needed.
- Assist with production issue analysis by helping identify root causes, business impacts, and potential solutions.
- Support documentation updates, training materials, knowledge transfer, and process improvement efforts.
- Maintain accurate project and product documentation and ensure deliverables meet established standards and timelines.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a product, product support, product operations, business analysis, implementation, or similar capacity within a life insurance or annuity company.
- Exposure to life insurance, fixed annuities, indexed annuities, registered index-linked annuities, or other annuity products.
- Experience supporting product-related work such as requirements gathering, documentation, testing, reporting, product implementation, system enhancements, process improvement, or issue resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience supporting fixed annuity product development, product implementation, or product maintenance.
- Exposure to policy administration systems, illustration systems, distributor platforms, or other insurance product-related technology.
- Experience creating or maintaining business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, process documentation, dashboards, or similar deliverables.
- Familiarity with Agile ceremonies, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, or product/project delivery processes.
