Privacy Analyst – Healthcare / HIPAA Compliance

Location: Illinois | Primarily Remote with Occasional Onsite Requirements

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Salary: $88,300–$103,000

  • TalentFish is seeking a Privacy Analyst for a leading healthcare organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare privacy or compliance professional with hands-on experience supporting HIPAA privacy investigations, audits, risk reviews, and regulatory compliance.
  • This is not a cybersecurity analyst position. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in healthcare privacy, HIPAA, compliance, auditing, or related regulatory areas.
  • What You'll Do
  • Receive and investigate privacy incidents, complaints, and potential HIPAA violations
  • Conduct privacy reviews and audits and recommend corrective actions
  • Respond to privacy questions from patients, employees, and internal departments
  • Identify privacy and compliance risks and assist with remediation plans
  • Track incidents, audit findings, trends, SLAs, and program metrics
  • Develop privacy guidance, training materials, FAQs, policies, and educational content
  • Deliver privacy-related education and presentations
  • Partner with internal compliance, information security, clinical research, and operational teams
  • Stay current on HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and evolving healthcare privacy requirements
  • Support privacy considerations involving clinical research and human-subject activities
  • What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant privacy, HIPAA, healthcare compliance, audit, information systems, or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations
  • Experience identifying privacy/compliance risks and recommending corrective actions
  • Healthcare, hospital, academic medical center, or healthcare consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with investigations, audits, data analysis, metrics, and reporting
  • Strong project management, communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to independently manage sensitive and confidential matters

CHC and/or CHPC certification is preferred but not required.
