SUMMARY:
- As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, designing, and implementing
- information systems solutions that enhance the overall customer experience. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, identify system improvements, and ensure seamless integration between various systems. Manage gathering and defining business requirement, reporting back to stakeholder for agreement and alignment. Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. Manage product improvements, work with business leaders, vendors, and Customer Communications on improving applications and simplifying user experience.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
- Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders
- Performing system analyses on software programs, applications, and web services.
- Efficiently integrating new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
- Analyzing and improving the performance of web-based customer portals and support services.
- Ensuring end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.
- Monitoring product licenses and ensuring compliance with IT industry regulations.
- Ensuring that computer hardware remains compatible with system enhancements and updates.
- Promoting system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption.
- Conducts analyses to assist in the development of the business planning process and supports the development of goals and objectives.
- Develops and makes presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Researches and writes reports and major issue analyses on organizational crosscutting issues.
- Coordinates the preparation and updating of Business plans.
- Develop detailed system design specifications, including data models, workflow diagrams, and interface designs, to guide the development and integration of information systems.
- Coordinate and oversee the integration of new software applications and systems into the existing technology landscape.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system-related issues, working collaboratively with technical teams to resolve problems and implement solutions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area and five (5) years of experience in strategic, business, or transportation.
- In lieu of a degree, 9 years’ experience in related work accepted.
- An accredited certification desirable.
- Transportation experience desirable.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent written, verbal skills are required
- Experience in technical business analysis in a related industry.
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions.
- Ability to keep up with IT advancements.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Access or PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or a similar role.
- Proficiency in system analysis methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
