Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Data Governance & Data Product Management Consultant

Responsabilities

• Data Governance - Support our client’s desired approach to data governance which enables data stewardship and data domain ownership of core data products, defines and maintains quality standards, standardizes a data glossary and terminologies etc.
• Data Ownership - Identify, assist, and train individuals within the organization to become effective data stewards and data product owners to elevate data as an important enterprise asset with established roadmaps and clear enterprise value.
• Data Policies and Standards - Create and establish set of core policies that sets data governance standards, sharing and access to existing data assets to inform definition, retention, privacy (as mandated), security and access controls.
• Intelligent Data Acquisitions and Lifecycle Management - Establish a repeatable process and framework for data acquisitions, where data is profiled, standardized, and mastered and made available to data consumers.
• Data Activation - unlock value in the data such as audience segmentation through the development of insights which turn into activation via owned and paid media channels for example.
• Privacy - In addition to applying policies and standards, demonstrate expertise in Privacy trends to best inform our client how to manage its privacy risks now and in the future.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• + 8 years in Data Governance and Data Management
• Experience implementing Data Stewardship programs
• Strong Privacy and Compliance background
• Data Product Management experience
• Marketing, customer analytics, or tourism-sector exposure
• Experience building enterprise governance frameworks and data ownership models
• Executive-level facilitation and training capabilities
