- About the Role
- Our client is seeking a Power BI Developer to support a large-scale reporting transformation initiative. This role will focus on rebuilding reporting logic and developing scalable data models within a modern BI environment.
- This is a hands-on, SQL-heavy role requiring strong data modeling and problem-solving skills, with an opportunity to enhance and mature current reporting capabilities.
- Key Responsibilities
- Rebuild and enhance reports within Power BI (not direct script conversion)
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and prepare data
- Design and develop scalable data models (star schema, relationships, granularity)
- Develop DAX measures to support reporting and business needs
- Work with hierarchical and relational datasets
- Create clear, intuitive dashboards and reports for business users
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines
- Required Experience
- 6–7+ years of experience in BI / Data / Power BI development
- Strong SQL expertise (joins, aggregations, query optimization)
- Proven experience in data modeling and architecture
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX
- Ability to work with and interpret complex datasets
- Experience rebuilding or modernizing reports from legacy systems is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to financial data or reporting
- Experience working with hierarchical data or cube-like structures
- Previous experience in large-scale reporting transformations
